I am not sure people 'should' go more high tech in most cases than a amp per hour logging meter and a spreadsheet. But with all the hype and promises of a smart grid... the U.S. could reduce consumption by 5-10% by simply supplying these with a a guide for energy savings to all home and biz owners.<br /><br />It would be cheaper than the government subsidized converter boxes yet offer lifetime benefits. <br /><br />I DO NOT promote subsidizes... but this has a year end return to customer greater than the cashout (i.e. investment).<br /><br />Do CFL pay off in 3 years?<br />Will buying energystars appliances save real money?<br />Do I need to run my fridge and furnace 24hrs?<br />What devices are power vampires?<br />When will small scale solar or wind pay back? <br />Measure it!<br /><br />Nothing can improve if it is not measured.EHS Directorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11768405187596006599noreply@blogger.com
