Natural selection favours the idlest."Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01460608870728398853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9864176.post-29202501349436861492009-03-03T06:41:00.000+11:002009-03-03T06:41:00.000+11:00Another good summary of many 'post crash workforce...Another good summary of many 'post crash workforce options' Bucky would be proud of.

But including the 'Onion opinion' made it 'excellent'!

Can't wait for next part.

In perspective - Workforce models are critical to having a happy, productive and stable workforce. The key is building a 'successful' model for market areas. One mold does not fit many.

3-4 day work weeks are per perfect in Manf. as 6-7 day work weeks are critical to transport...

Some people own the clock and others are a slave to it.

When I married my wife I took 'a month off' to remodel our home, restore a classic car and get things organized in our remodeled home.

I was done in two weeks, and spent the rest of the time riding my bike everywhere, going to the parks with our dog and playing video games through the night. IF I had not had the end goal of relaxation and reward... the original tasks would have never gotten done in this time.

Obviously Balance is the key and always has been.

But I am not sure if our 'myspace' society understands what true recreational time is or how to use and enjoy it...EHS Directorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11768405187596006599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9864176.post-86189819485687633602009-03-02T06:32:00.000+11:002009-03-02T06:32:00.000+11:00Thanks BG for doing this series of articles. Now I have a job I love and I look forward to going to work every day (5 days a week!). But 4 days (30 hours a week) would be nice. And/or, 12 weeks a year off :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9864176.post-87856331629337891772009-03-01T23:14:00.000+11:002009-03-01T23:14:00.000+11:00Cross posted to TOD ANZ where it will hopefully ge...Cross posted to TOD ANZ where it will hopefully generate some comments.

http://anz.theoildrum.com/node/5152

Feel free to give it a vote at Reddit too :

http://www.reddit.com/r/reddit.com/comments/816oe/is_it_time_for_a_4_day_working_week/Big Gavhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00682404837426502876noreply@blogger.com
