Peak Oil Quotes
Posted by Big Gav
I'm feeling a herd-animal like instinct to add some pithy quotes to my sidebar, ala Mobjectivist and The Oil Drum
Some of memorable phrases that come to mind include:
"Deal With Reality or Reality Will Deal With You" - Matt Savinar
"Malthus was an optimist" David M Delaney
"If kindness and comfort are, as I suspect, the results of an energy surplus, then, as the supply contracts, we could be expected to start fighting once again like cats in a sack." - George Monbiot
"The project of suburbia is the greatest misallocation of resources in the history of the world. America has squandered its wealth in a living arrangement that has no future." - James Kunstler
"The second law of thermodynamics trumps the laws of economics" - ? (Jay Hanson perhaps)
"If the world was made of oil there would still be a finite supply of it" - ? (a Rockefeller perhaps)
If anyone can enlighten me as to the correct phrases and originators of the last 2 quotes I'd be very appreciative (as would any additional suggestions).
