The Cost of Oil And Hubbert's Peak
Posted by Big Gav
Rigzone has an article on Peak Oil (good to see it getting some coverage in the oil industry) by some AEI thinktankologist.
Will paying $50 to fill up the tank make Americans start thinking more sensibly about alternative means of power? Will gas-electric hybrids start to look more attractive? And if people start refueling their cars on the power grid, where will we get the electricity to accommodate them?
We'd better not start blaming this all on President Bush or wailing about the perfidies of the oil companies.
I don't know about you but they sound like two pretty good places to start to me - before deciding that both are dinosaurs and wishing them good riddance and moving on to a hopefully more Viridian future.
