Visitor of the Week

Posted by Big Gav

I haven't noted any visitors for a while, and I had thought I was unlikely to be surprised by anything in the server logs again, but I did manage a hearty laugh tonight when I came across a visitor from the Rodent's office (well, Rodent and Cabinet office, to be precise) in today's listings.

I presume the man himself has better things to do than read my idle ramblings, but I am glad that "lese majesty" isn't a crime any more (well, I hope it isn't) given my less-than-respectful attitude towards the little tinpot in recent years.

Anyway - should this mysterious visitor ever reappear and read this, please leave a comment to say what caught your interest. And if you'd like to have a chat about strategies for peak oil mitigation I'd be happy to oblige.

Rodent doesn't sound too bad a slur. My school's sports mascot happens to be a Gopher. But then again, I do enjoy going after the administration's water carriers more than the top dog himself. They are egotistical enough to gnaw back if you bother them regularly.

I feel I'm being a bit rude though - its one thing to continuously bag someone out of their hearing range, but quite another if they were to ever actually read it.

As he lives not that far away I'd be mortified if I ever bumped into him !

As for the water carriers, most of the Rodent's tame lap dogs (and parrots) aren't really worth wasting my energy on...

As for gophers, they are quite cool - they're the critters from "Caddy Shack", right ? (and I imagine a variety of Rodent)

I've never actually seen one, though I did come across a Marmot once, which looked like a giant mountain gopher...

The opposing teams' fans throw dead gophers on the ice during hockey games.
