The Sierra Club is campaigning against piping oil from the Canadian tar sands southwards (the "Dirtiest oil on earth to enter the U.S") - Dirty Oil Sands.

Canada is the United States’ number one source of foreign oil, and the oil sands comprise about half of Canadian oil. Also known as tar sands oil, it is the world’s most harmful type of oil for the atmosphere, emitting high volumes of greenhouse gases during development, which contribute to global warming.
